Challenges of Human Resource Management

In the recent years ,significant changes have been taken place in the economic, social, technological and political environment of business in india as well as world place. This paper analysis the emerging challenges in the field of HRM. The great challenge of HRM is to attract ,retain and nurture  talented employees. These changes can not be ignored by the organizations, rather the human resource manager have to plan and implement a innovative mechanism, such as performance appraisal ,training etc. for human resources to prepare them to accept the emerging challenges and also for developing the  skills and competencies in human resources.

Human resource management is concerned with the human resources in an organization. When individuals come to a work place , they come with not only technical skills ,knowledge ,experience etc. but also with their feelings ,perception, desires ,motives, attitude, values etc. Today,  the role of HR has widen up because of globalization and removal of line of alignment between two countries which has facilitated a person to do job in other country. So HR managers will have to act as change agents or change facilitators. They will have to make effective use of HRD mechanism and  will have to build up ‘ learning organizations ‘ for greater organizational effectiveness.
