Sound- A Medium of Communication

Abstract


Sound is packets of energy resulting from vibrating objects travelling as a wave through a medium as compressions and rarefaction. Sound can travel non-linearly, but not without medium. Frequency, Amplitude, Pitch are some character defining parameters of Sound. Intensity of sound can be measured from the amount of energy travelling in medium. Loud noises above 85dB can cause hearing loss if exposed to for a period of time.
