The cooperative sector is one of the well designed segments of Indian economy and has contributed significantly for the growth and development of SMEs in India. In the cooperative segment the growth of dairy cooperatives during the last three decades has been quite impressive. It plays a predominant role in balancing the rural inequality by promoting growth in income, employment and social justice.
