Motivation for Second Language Learning among Kiswahili Learners of English

This study investigates motivation factors for learning English among Kiswahili learners of English. The study is a descriptive one which involved 20 Kiswahili learners who were learning English as their second language at Cilos center for language courses in Dar es Salaam.  A questionnaire comprising 20 item statements to elicit learners’ motives for learning English was used as a method for data collection.
