Prevalence of Road Accident by Commercial Motorcycle Operators in Benue State, Nigeria

Four thousand eight hundred (4800) questionnaires targeted at establishing the frequency, causes and nature of injuries sustained in road accidents by commercial motorcycle operators within a period of five (5) years (2006 - 2010) were administered on operators, Motorcycle Hire Association (MOHA), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Transport Unit of the Nigerian Police Force in four major commercial towns of Benue State, Nigeria. Victims were also interviewed on nature of injuries sustained.
