Atoms and Atomic Particles

Sushil Pandey

Abstract

Humans have been curios since early days to know what the things around them are made up of. Early philosophers postulated existence of undividable fundamental building units of all the things around them. However this field remained untouched for good 2000 years unless John Dalton gave first atomic theory based on evidence. 19th century saw further development in science which made it possible to look deeper into the atoms and then many subatomic particles were discovered one after the other. We have discovered dozens of particles and many more are yet to be discovered. The experimental setup needs to evolve further for us to solve the deeper mysteries of atoms.
